What do readers ask most?

What is a temp agency?

A temp agency is a staffing company that hires workers and places them on temporary assignments with employers. The agency recruits, screens and pays the worker and handles payroll taxes, while the employer directs the work and pays the agency an hourly bill rate. Our guide to temp, temp-to-hire and direct hire compares the three models.

How do I get hired by a temp agency?

Apply and show you are dependable. At RHO Hiring you apply online or book an interview at our Southfield office or by phone. We go over the work and shifts you want, your work history and references, and a few job questions, and you get a safety orientation before your first assignment. Our first-day guide covers the rest.

What goes into a peak season staffing plan?

A forecast by week and shift, started 8 to 12 weeks before the volume arrives. Tell your staffing agency early, train and onboard people before the rush, invite back last season's top performers first and review the season when it ends. Our peak season staffing plan includes a calendar for a Q4 peak.
