Time and attendance software for Michigan temp workers

Time and attendance software tracks when each RHO employee clocks in and out of a shift at your Michigan location. It also notes if they were late, called off or did not show up. RHO Hiring uses it to create the timesheets, and your team approves the hours before they are billed. Call (248) 843-0000.

How does time and attendance tracking work for temp workers?

Time and attendance tracking bridges the gap between the company that pays your temp workers and the team that works with them. Although temp workers are RHO employees whom RHO pays, your team is on the floor with them. The hours that an individual worker clocks at your location are tracked as they occur. Your team reviews them, and the approved hours are what the worker gets paid for and what you get charged for.

It begins with the clock. Employees punch in when their shift begins and out when it ends. That data is sent to RHO's workforce software. Every shift's attendance tells you who arrived on time, who was late, who called off in advance and who failed to show. As soon as we know a scheduled employee hasn't punched in, the RHO team begins finding a replacement instead of you spotting the gap when the line is already moving.

Clock-in records turn into timesheets at the end of the pay period. The people approving hours on your side look them over in the client portal. They flag anything that looks off and approve everything else. Discrepancies are resolved before invoicing, with the record in front of both parties.

Attendance records also accumulate into a history. Over time they reveal trends: a shift that chronically starts late, a day of the week with frequent call-offs, a department where assignments routinely end early. We share those trends with you through workforce analytics, and use them to improve schedules, coverage and matching.

  • Hours you've seen

Timesheets are constructed from clock-ins, and are delivered to your team for approval, ensuring the invoice matches what's on the floor.

  • No-shows caught at the start

When a clock-in is missed, the RHO team is notified and we begin working on a replacement as soon as we become aware.

What does RHO's attendance tracking record?

  • Clock-in and clock-out

The beginning and end of each shift of every RHO employee at your location.

  • Late arrivals

Entered shift by shift so a trend on one shift will be easily visible.

  • Call-offs

Employees notify RHO when they call off and each call-off is documented with the associated cover.

  • No-shows

When someone misses their clock-in, the RHO team is notified and begins working on a replacement.

  • Overtime hours

Hours over the normal week displayed on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before it's invoiced.

  • Timesheet review

Timesheets created from clock records and delivered to your approvers for review.

  • Approval and corrections

Your team approves hours or asks a question, and RHO resolves it prior to invoicing.

  • Hours that match the invoice

Approved hours equal the hours RHO pays the worker for and bills you for.

How tracking can be set up

Mix them as your floor needs. Your manager sets it up with you.

  1. 1One approver or several

Either one manager approves all hours or each department supervisor approves their own crew.

  2. 2Day, night and weekend shifts

All shifts are tracked the same, including 10-hour, 12-hour and weekend shifts.

  3. 3Single site or several

Data is maintained by facility. Timesheets are approved at the facility level, by the people who run each site.

  4. 4With RHO check-in on site

When an RHO supervisor is working a shift, they check the crew in and verify head count with your supervisors.

Signs your time records need attention

  • Paper sign-in sheets go missing or get filled in later
  • Invoices lead to arguments over hours nobody can confirm
  • No-shows are discovered once the shift has started
  • Overtime shows up on the bill as a surprise
  • Nobody can say who has been late, and how often

Why Michigan employers trust RHO Hiring's time records

  • You approve before you pay

Nothing is invoiced until your team has reviewed and approved the hours.

  • One record for pay and billing

Approved hours are what gets paid to the worker and what you get charged for. So both sides are working from the same numbers.

  • A team that follows up

Late arrivals, call-offs and no-shows will be followed up by RHO. They will not be left for your supervisors to chase down.

How do RHO workers clock in?

Employees punch in at the beginning of each shift and punch out when they finish. Punch times are entered into RHO's workforce management software. How this process flows at your location is agreed upon when your account is established. If an RHO supervisor is on the shift, they will check the crew in as well.

Who approves the timesheets?

Whoever you want. Some companies have one manager approve all hours. Others have each department supervisor approve their own crew. Your RHO manager will set it up however you want.

What if the hours look wrong?

Flag it before you approve. RHO verifies the clock record, talks with the employee and supervisor as necessary, and fixes the timesheet if it is incorrect. Resolving it before the invoice saves everyone time.

What happens when a worker doesn't show?

A missed clock-in triggers an alert to the RHO team. We begin working on a replacement as soon as we become aware. The no-show is placed on the worker's attendance record and RHO will follow up if it becomes a recurring issue.

Who pays the workers?

RHO. Assigned workers are employees of RHO: we pay them for the approved hours, withhold payroll taxes and file the paperwork. You get one invoice for the hours your team approved.

Can we see attendance trends, not just this week's hours?

Yes. The same records populate RHO's workforce analytics: attendance, fill, turnover and overtime trends by shift and department, which are reviewed with your RHO manager.
