Workforce analytics for Michigan temp crews: attendance, fill, turnover and overtime

Workforce analytics from RHO Hiring transforms your Michigan temp team's schedules, clock-ins and timesheets into head count, fill, attendance, turnover and overtime reports. Staffing decisions are then driven by data, not guesswork. Your RHO manager walks you through every report. Contact us at (248) 843-0000 to enable this service for your account.

What does workforce analytics show about a temp crew?

Workforce analytics translates the performance of the workers RHO places at your facility into quantitative data. When staffing issues occur, they are often identified by how they feel: second shift always seems to be short people, turnover is high, overtime keeps creeping up. RHO Hiring monitors the trends that cause those feelings and reports back to you so that you can identify what's really going on and correct the problem.

The data is pulled from RHO's workforce software, which is where shift schedules, clock-ins and timesheets are stored for the employees we place. So the reports align with the hours that your team approved. We report on the basics. Head count and fill: how many employees you requested for each shift vs. how many actually started work. Attendance: who was on time, late or absent (called off or no-show) by shift and day of the week. Turnover: how many assignments ended early and why. Overtime: how many hours RHO employees are working beyond the regular week and where overtime is accumulating. We track how long it takes to fill new orders as well as employee transitions to your payroll.

We report these numbers on a schedule you agree on with your manager, by shift and department, and track them over time. And most importantly, we discuss them with you. If there are frequent no-shows on Monday nights, if one department struggles to retain new hires during their first week or if overtime increases every time there is a volume spike, we explore why and how to improve: adjust head count, shift start time, onboarding or the type of employee we send.

Reporting is another aspect of RHO's workforce management services, which also include our time and attendance tracking, shift scheduling and the people we send to your floor. Reporting is included in managed staffing programs and on-site workforce management. Please speak with your manager about implementing reporting on any of your accounts.

What does RHO track and report?

  • Head count and fill

Number of workers you ordered and how many of them reported on each shift, and how fast your open orders were filled.

  • Overtime is rising and nobody knows exactly why
  • Turnover feels high, but there's no count to prove it
  • Attendance problems come up in meetings without any data
  • Staffing budgets for next season are a guess

Workforce analytics questions

Don’t see yours? Call 248-843-0000 and a manager will answer it.

What exactly does RHO track?

Head count and fill (actual starters vs. ordered), attendance (shows, tardies, call-offs and no-shows), turnover (assignments not completed, and the reasons), overtime hours, hours by shift and department, as well as speed of fills and how many workers enter your payroll.

Where do the numbers come from?

They're pulled from RHO's workforce management software: the schedules, clock-in times, attendance records and approved timesheets of the workers we place. Your RHO manager adds what's happening on the floor so each data point has an explanation behind it.

Does it cover our own employees too?

Our reports will reflect workers placed by RHO. If you provide your own totals (all overtime, permanent head count, etc.) we can compare the temps to your workforce.

How often do we get reports?

On a schedule you agree on with your manager. Many fast-paced ops want them weekly; some like monthly, with a longer review at the end of each season.

How is workforce analytics priced?

It depends on your project scope: what is tracked, frequency of reporting and if it's part of a managed program. Pricing is outlined in your proposal prior to any work beginning.

How does it help control costs?

It identifies where your money is draining away: overtime spent covering shortages, short shifts that depress production and employees who quit before they're productive. When you know where the holes are, you and RHO can patch them, for instance by assigning an additional employee to a shift that consistently runs overtime.
