Quality inspector staffing for Michigan manufacturers

Quality inspector staffing from RHO Hiring places inspectors and sorters into your Michigan automotive, manufacturing and packaging production lines to catch the bad part before your customer receives it. Each individual goes through a screening process for attention to detail. If you find yourself in need of someone to sort suspect stock, please call (248) 843-0000 and we will have a manager return your call, usually within a couple of hours.

What does a quality inspector do?

Quality control inspection is meticulous, repetitive and important work: examining one part after another and identifying the defective one. Inspectors compare parts and products to a standard, either by eye or with the use of gauges, templates and simple tools, and they separate, mark and document those that fail. They may examine every product on a production line or just a sample, and they may inspect material as it arrives at receiving.

Inspection work often involves sorting. In Michigan manufacturing, when a defect is discovered by a supplier or customer, suspect parts typically must be sorted, piece by piece, prior to shipping or heading to the line. This work tends to come in spurts and needs manpower immediately. RHO Hiring staffs inspection teams and sorting crews for those scenarios as well as long-term quality opportunities. Learn how quality functions through all supplier tiers in our guide to automotive manufacturing staffing.

Prior to deploying anyone we learn what is being inspected, what defects to look for, tools needed, documentation your quality team requires and production rates. We screen individuals to ensure they have attention to detail, then train them on safety prior to beginning and make sure they know what to expect when they arrive on your site. Your quality team shows them exactly what standard to look for, the boundary samples and the necessary paperwork. And RHO has management that remains on the account to resolve issues quickly.

Quality inspection staffing questions

Don’t see yours? Call 248-843-0000 and a manager will answer it.

Can you staff a sorting crew quickly?

Call as soon as you know. We have a manager return your call, typically within a couple of hours, to review the parts, defect, location and shifts affected, and we provide you with a realistic number of people we can send to you and when they can be there.

Do your inspectors measure parts?

Go/no-go gauges, fixtures, calipers or templates are common tools for inspection work. When you describe the tools needed for the job, we search for employees with experience using them. Have your quality staff show the standard and available tools to each inspector at your facility.

How is inspection staffing priced?

Hourly. The rate depends on the experience level the job requires, shift, overtime, head count and duration of work. You receive a quote prior to any work beginning.

Who trains inspectors on our standard?

It's your quality team, as the standard, the boundary samples and the paperwork are yours. RHO screens individuals for attention to detail, trains employees on safety and sets them up for your site prior to arrival.

What if an inspector doesn't work out?

Report it immediately to your RHO manager. Missed defects cost money. We will terminate the assignment if necessary and replace them with someone better suited to the work.

Can we hire an inspector permanently?

Yes. Inspectors can transition to temp-to-hire or to your payroll on the conditions laid out in your agreement. And direct hire recruiting works if you know you want to hire an inspector permanently.
