An equal opportunity staffing agency for Michigan workers

RHO Hiring is an equal opportunity employer: as a Michigan staffing agency, we hire, place and treat people on their skills, reliability and availability, and nothing else. Here's what that translates into for job seekers, for our employees and for the companies we serve. Got questions? Call (248) 843-0000.

What does equal opportunity mean at RHO Hiring?

RHO Hiring LLC is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate against any applicant or employee because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression), age, height, weight, marital or familial status, disability, genetic information, veteran status or any other status protected by federal, Michigan or local law.

Federal law prohibits employers from discriminating based on race, color, religion, sex (which includes pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) website eeoc.gov. Michigan's Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act includes age at any age, height, weight, marital and familial status, and gender expression. Michigan's Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act covers disability.

The commitment includes everything about working with RHO: the application process, interviews, job assignments, compensation, training, discipline and the end of an assignment.

It is also unlawful, and against our own policy, to retaliate against anyone for complaining about discrimination, filing a charge of discrimination or participating in an investigation.

What our application never asks for

Our application only asks for the information we need to place you in a job: where we can reach you, the types of work and shifts you are looking for, the city you live in and your experience. The paperwork required by law for every new employee is completed after you accept a job offer. Our application never asks for:

  • Your Social Security number
  • Your date of birth
  • A driver's license number or any other ID number
  • Your criminal history
  • Your race, religion, age, disability or any other protected trait

How do you ask for an accommodation?

If you require accommodations for the application, interview, or working environment due to a disability, pregnancy or a religious practice, please request it. No magic words necessary.

  • Applying

Should you have difficulty with the online application, please contact us at (248) 843-0000 or schedule an appointment to visit the office and we will assist you in completing your application by alternate means.

  • Interviewing

Request an interview by phone or in person, at another time, with more time, or with some other accommodation.

  • On assignment

Ask your RHO manager for what you need: a schedule change for a religious holiday or observance, a stool at a work station, more breaks during pregnancy or anything else. We will work it out with you and the employer on site.

  • Kept private

Requests are kept confidential and are only shared with the employer at the site to the extent necessary to facilitate the accommodation.

Fair placements on the employer's side

Equal opportunity applies to the orders we fill as well as the people we hire. RHO cannot entertain requests to dispatch or refrain from dispatching workers based on race, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability or any other protected characteristic.

A good request explains the job: the duties, physical requirements, shift, equipment and site policies. Our worker matching process starts with that description, and everyone who can do the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, has an equal opportunity for that job.

Questions about equal opportunity

What if I think I was treated unfairly?

Inform your RHO manager or ask to speak with the owners at (248) 843-0000 or at the office. We will investigate and keep you informed of what we're doing about it. You will not be retaliated against for speaking up. You also have the right to contact the EEOC directly at eeoc.gov.

Do I have to tell you about a disability?

No. Only indicate it if you need an accommodation, and then provide just enough information for us to understand your needs.

Does this apply at the employer's site too?

Yes. Workers on assignment should be treated fairly by everyone at the site. If something occurs there, report it to RHO and we will address it with the employer.
