On-site workforce management for Michigan warehouses and plants

On-site workforce management assigns a dedicated RHO Hiring account team to manage your entire temporary workforce population at your Michigan location: Who's on-site. Who's newly assigned. Who's missing. Who needs to be replaced. How the team is performing from month to month. Your managers focus on production. Contact (248) 843-0000 to learn more.

Why does a large temp crew need on-site workforce management?

When a supervisor starts a shift with a temporary crew, they have non-production related questions. Who's here today? Who's new? Who didn't show, and who's covering for them? Do this for every shift and department, and managing your temporary workforce becomes a full-time role. On-site workforce management gives that role to RHO Hiring.

A dedicated RHO account team manages your entire temporary workforce. When needed, the team is on site for your shifts: checking in workers, walking new starts around the site, assigning individuals to where your departments need them, filling call-offs and shifting people to where the work is as it changes. Small accounts are managed by a dedicated manager who visits your floor and remains available by phone.

The account team accesses RHO's workforce software, where all schedules, clock-ins, attendance records and timesheets of every employee we place at your location are kept. If your account utilizes RHO supervisors on each shift, they report to the account team. The account team views all shifts and departments: where shortages are being created, where call-offs tend to group, which employees are ready for more responsibility or ready to join your payroll.

Your supervisors continue to manage the work. What's different is the people side. Attendance issues are addressed by RHO. Feedback about a worker is directed to someone who will do something about it. Workers have an RHO contact person to discuss questions regarding their schedules and assignments. That support helps workers acclimate and stay with you. And what the RHO team sees is reflected in the reports we share with you regarding attendance, fill, turnover and overtime.

  • One team for the whole crew

All of the RHO employees at your location regardless of shift or department will report to one RHO account team.

  • A team that knows your site

You will have the same RHO team each week. They get to know your departments, shifts and supervisors.

What does RHO's account team handle on site?

  • Shift check-in

Every worker is checked in at the beginning of their shift and head count is confirmed with your supervisors.

  • Attendance follow-up

Late arrivals, call-offs and no-shows are followed up by RHO. Your supervisors don't need to.

  • Coverage

We try to fill open spots from RHO's workers as fast as possible, so a short shift should be the exception.

  • Onboarding new starts

New employees are met, shown the entrance and break areas, walked through facility policies and introduced to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Placement across departments

Employees are assigned to the departments and positions your supervisors request and are transferred when the work moves.

  • Feedback and coaching

Supervisor feedback quickly acted on with coaching, an alternate position or replacement as needed.

  • Worker support

Designated RHO contact for questions, helping workers feel at home and stay.

  • Reporting

Reports built from RHO's workforce software and the team's floor observations, presented for you.

Levels of on-site support

Mix them as your floor needs. Your manager sets it up with you.

Available for larger accounts. RHO staffed at your facility during the shifts that need it, including nights and weekends.

  2. 2With RHO shift supervisors

  3. 3Shift-start coverage

Signs you need on-site workforce management

  • Supervisors start every shift by counting heads and making calls
  • No-shows are discovered after the line has started
  • New temporary workers stand at the door, waiting for someone to meet them.
  • Feedback about workers never seems to change anything
  • Each shift or department manages temporary workers its own way
  • Turnover in the temporary crew keeps the floor in training mode

On-site workforce management questions

Don’t see yours? Call 248-843-0000 and a manager will answer it.

Does RHO supervise the production work?

No. Your supervisors decide what to do, how to do it and the standard to which it should be done. RHO handles check-in, attendance, onboarding, placement, feedback and replacements. Where RHO shift supervisors are placed on the account, they lead the RHO team according to the plan your supervisors have designed.

How is this different from the on-site supervisor team?

Shift supervisors from RHO manage your RHO crew for the shifts they work. On-site workforce management is the account team above them: they manage your entire temporary workforce on your site for every shift and department, from coverage to placement to reporting. Lots of larger accounts use both.

When does an on-site account team make sense?

Typically if you have a sizable temporary workforce running through your facility, many shifts or new starts on a regular basis. On smaller accounts this is normally covered by having a dedicated manager coming out and staying reachable. We recommend a level once we get acquainted with your facility.

How is on-site management priced?

It's included in the staffing proposal, dependent upon how much support is needed, how many hours and what size crew. We walk you through what is included and how we price it before we begin.

Who handles payroll for the workers?

RHO employs and pays the workers, withholds payroll taxes and files employment paperwork. Your staff reviews and approves hours.

Can our supervisors give feedback directly to workers?

Sure. They supervise the work. We want serious problems, attendance concerns and requests to terminate an assignment to be directed to RHO so they can be addressed appropriately and documented.
