Assembly and production workers assemble parts together, fasten and fit components, load and unload machines, transfer parts to another station, inspect their own work and maintain supplies at their station. Automotive manufacturing and other production depends on workers who can keep up with a production line, perform detailed work all day and safely work around machinery and automation. Michigan's automotive supply chain relies on this work, from the parts facility to the plants building full assemblies.
Every line has different needs. That's why RHO Hiring customizes each placement to your shift requirements, production schedules and skill demands. We ask you about the work content, cycle time, tools needed, quality checks and protective equipment. We look for workers who can follow detailed instructions while working under time constraints. Prior to starting, we train workers on safety and prepare them for working on a production line. So when they begin, they spend their first shift learning your station instead of the basics.
Normal shifts are 8-10 hours. Most plants run two or three shifts with weekend overtime as needed to meet volume or launch needs. RHO staffs stable crews and recurring plans to match your shift rotations, model changes and volume increases. For full plant planning please review our factory hiring guide.

Assembly line staffing questions
Don’t see yours? Call 248-843-0000 and a manager will answer it.
Do you staff automotive suppliers?
Yes. We staff automotive manufacturing plants (parts facilities included). We provide you with assembly line workers, quality inspectors, parts handlers and machine assistants, and we train them in the expected conduct and safety requirements for automotive manufacturing lines.
How is assembly staffing priced?
Hourly, based on a billing rate that pays for the worker's wages, the cost of employing them and RHO's recruiting and management. Shift, overtime, head count and duration of assignment affect the rate. You will be quoted a rate before any employees start.
Who trains workers on our station?
RHO pre-trains workers on safety and production-line behavior before they begin work. Your team familiarizes them with the station, work instructions and the quality expectation. The more we know about your line ahead of time, the better we can prepare them.
How fast can line workers start?
Jobs for entry level assembly are typically filled faster than skilled positions. A manager calls you back, typically within a couple of hours, and provides an estimated start date when your order is placed.
What if a line worker doesn't work out?
Report it to your RHO manager. We will investigate and if necessary terminate the assignment and replace them with someone more comfortable with the pace and work.
Can we hire line workers permanently?
Yes. Workers may transition to temp-to-hire or onto your payroll based on the terms of your agreement with RHO. Plants often utilize temp-to-hire to create the foundation of a new shift.
