Who’s hiring in Dearborn Heights?
Dearborn Heights lacks any major plants of its own: its largest employer, as of 2014, was the city government itself. The majority of businesses within the city are retail shops, restaurants, clinics, and service companies located along Telegraph Road, Ford Road, Warren Avenue, Van Born Road and Michigan Avenue.
What the city lacks in plants, it makes up for in location. The Ford Rouge Complex and its network of suppliers are east in Dearborn, just a few miles away. To the south and west are the cities of Taylor and Westland, also home to industrial parks. For area employers it means access to a large neighborhood workforce within commuting distance; for workers looking for employment here, it means finding production, warehouse and general labor jobs in multiple directions.
